Treherne Dermatology offers Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a facial mini-peeling or mini-sanding technique
used to remove the top layers of skin using either chemicals or abrasive
agents. Microdermabrasion uses a powerful device to spray micro
crystals of aluminum dioxide (corundum powder) across the skin’s
surface. The aluminum dioxide is a very fine, very hard, sand-like
material that blasts away the uppermost
layer of dead skin cells on the skin's epidermis. After the treatment,
the technician vacuums away the traces of the corundum powder. This will
lessen the appearance of facial wrinkles and improve the aging
appearance of the skin, smoothing it and stimulating new cell growth.
The results remain for three to six weeks before it needs to be
repeated. Call us today at 757-838-8525 to schedule your appointment.
